University of Nottingham Futsal face title contenders Derby Futsal Club on Sunday at David Ross Sports Village. The Green and Gold squad will be looking to repeat their opening weekend win against Birmingham City University Tigers whilst Derby Futsal Club will aim to mark their return to the FA National League with a victory after 18 months of rebuilding.
Following the Student Welcome Fair and start of term, the match is set to be a popular fixture to attend on campus, that will see a direct and physical Derby Futsal Club provide tough opposition to University of Nottingham Futsal.
Head of Performance Futsal, Marc Forrest said: “I am pleased to see Derby return to the league following their rebuild. Credit to Matt and the club for the good work their doing in Derbyshire. Derby have always been a club that pose a real threat and it will be no different on Sunday and throughout this season I am sure. Like always we will be focused on ourselves to play the way we want to play and meet the standards that the boys have set and expect from one another.”
