University of Nottingham Futsal earned a convincing 12-4 win in a dominant performance against Atletico Birmingham in front of a home crowd in the first home match of the 2017/2018 FA National League season.

The three points ensure University of Nottingham remain top of the league with three wins from three going into their next fixture away to Birmingham Tigers this Sunday.

With an impressive performance, the squad gave much for the crowd to celebrate and enjoy with hat tricks from 17 year old Olly Whaley, in form Ryon Leyshon and league top goalscorer, Pav Tomczak. Tom O’Sullivan, Dylan Harris Newton, and Dan Slater also added their names to the scoresheet in a match watched by over 150 spectators.

“It is another positive performance and result for us. The home support was fantastic from the club, academy and local community. We have a lot to be encouraged by, despite a short spell of complacency overall the boys did a fantastic job. We are still evolving and now our attention turns to Tigers on Sunday.” said Head of Performance Futsal, Marc Forrest.
