SUPER SUNDAY PREVIEW: UoN Futsal In Action At David Ross Sports Village

University of Nottingham Futsal look towards an action packed weekend, with every squad in action at the David Ross Sports Village on Sunday, BUCS and National League.

National League (18:30 KO):

The National League side enter this game on the back of two fantastic wins, standing firmly at the top of the National League Division One North. They face Atletico Birmingham Futsal Club in what is sure to be a thrilling match. A win here would further solidify the hard work being done at the club.

The squad has been preparing well since their lasting outing against Sheffield Futsal Club, which resulted in a 5 – 1 away victory for University of Nottingham Futsal. UoN can expect Atletico Birmingham to provide stern competition in an undoubtedly anticipated fixture.

1s (10:00 KO):

The 1s face University of Bedfordshire Futsal 1s in a top of the table clash. The 1s will be hoping for a victory here, to put some daylight between themselves and the rest of the Midlands 1A.

2s (12:00 KO):

The 2s begin their BUCS Futsal Midlands Conference Cup campaign with a tough tie against University of Derby Futsal 1s. A win would see the 2s into the last 16, and put them in with a real opportunity to aim for silverware this season.

3s (14:00 KO):

The 3s take part in an exhibition match at the David Ross Sports Village, as some midway point entertainment between University of Nottingham Futsal’s competitive matches. The 3s were due to play in the BUCS Futsal Midlands Conference Cup, but have been awarded a walk-over, into the last 16.

4s: (16:00 KO):

The 4s face Birmingham City University Futsal 1s in their BUCS Futsal Midlands Conference Cup opener. The 4s will be looking to see how far they can go in this competition, with a real sense of optimism in the air.

 

Over 60 players will represent the club this weekend, which only highlights the strength and depth of the new look University of Nottingham Futsal programme this year.

 

All fixtures will take place at the David Ross Sports Village, starting at 10am!
